Update on my OT and lap band issues
I had the long awaited appointment to plan the removal of my left ovary and ovarian masses. This remains my most troublesome issue before and after lap banding. I thought the doctor would simple give me an exam/ultrasound and put the surgery on the calendar. He does a 360 and says he doesn't think he can do the surgery and that the little hospital he works out of can't handle a case like this one if anything goes wrong.
His only suggestion was to go back to the original GYN oncologist who has not been moved to remove my masses in almost two years. If you're counting, this is the third or so doctor to pass me up and down the ranks of GYN specialists. I'm back to the guy who told me he would operate on me only if he had a confirmed cancer before the surgery. (So, no biopsies).
Maybe these ovarian masses are really nothing and I should just forget about them. I'm getting tired of being jerked around, for sure.
In wls issues, I've been unfilled for two months. My abdominal swelling made my restriction seem tighter and I was starting to McPuke easy stuff. I've gained two pounds since that unfilling and I had gained 8 before that. So, I'm 10 pounds over my lowest weight of 268. I'm going to attempt a fill tomorrow. I'm sure it will be small, but I'm trying to be positive and handle those things that I can change and accept those things which are out of my control. (I'm still working on it, ok)
I'll post details of my fill tomorrow.
Onward!
