Updated Photos - plastic surgery before & after
Hi Stephanie,
Thanks. This is truly the icing on the cake for me. Yes, Tricare covered this surgery for me. My surgeon put this through as a circumferential (sp?) panniulectomy (sp?). Since I had the bypass at Walter Reed I was able to get the extended "tummy tuck" done there under Tricare as well. However, typically Tricare will only cover a regular tummy tuck to be done at a military hospital. At least that is what I am told. If you are military (active or otherwise) you should have your PCM put in a referral to the plastics clinic for a consultation. It never hurts to ask! If I have any other procedures done I will have to pay for them out of pocket whether at Walter Reed or not.
Hugs, Robin

Robin, you look absolutely wonderful. Great job! Did they do anything to your thighs? I eventually want to have a lift to take care of the belly "flap", inner thighs, and dare I say flabby HOOHOO! Yes, people, I said it, so THERE! If you have one, you know what I'm talking about! Guys, big girls have big hoohoos! hehehe
Thanks Heather. I had lipo from my thighs (the total was 300 - not sure what measurement that is in but it was 300 something from each thigh, upper outer portion) and then they lifted and removed skin. It was a lot of skin too. I had the doc take picutes for me so I could see it all. It was gross and I was amazed at how much it was. 6 lbs doesn't seem like a lot but when you see it all laying on the tray, it was a lot. I am hoping to have the inner thighs done and then have more lipo on the outer thighs. My hope is that I can avoid getting a true thigh lift done (and thus not have that huge scar running up/down the inside of my thigh) and can still get my thighs to be just a bit smaller. I'll have to see how much it all costs and then make a decision on what I can afford to get done. The lower body lift took care of my HOOHOO. :) hehehe. Sometimes that needs revision but I won't need that.
