Thanks Diana!    I had really been slacking on the gym lately and was looking forward to getting back to it.   That makes this dang tear even more frustrating. Definitely need to be watching the food intake ... there have been a few pounds trying (???) to sneak back on as it is. Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Hey Mo, I am so sorry to hear about your injury.   A torn muscle is tough.   I have just started running again after a torn muscle and IT Band injury in October.   Depending on where in the muscle the tear is, there is not much they can do for it.  The only relief comes with rest. So take it easy (the more you can stay off of it the quicker it will heal) and feel better soon. I agree with Aime...housework will kill you!  :-) Take care,

Dave
Every morning in Africa , a gazelle wakes up. It knows it must outrun the fastest lion or it will be killed. Every morning in Africa , a lion wakes up. It knows that it must run faster than the slowest gazelle, or it will starve. It doesn't matter whether you're a lion or a gazelle when the sun comes up you'd better be running.

Hey Dave, It's lower leg, back of calf (the medial gastric muscle .. sounds to me like it should be in my stomach )  It's one of those muscles holding the knee together I think.    I think even if I feel I don't need the orthopedist Jan 16 rolls around, I'll keep the appt anyway just to find out about specific exercises to strengthen those muscles and hopefully keep me from doing it again.   I'm afraid that once damaged, it will be easy to do again. Glad you are back with your running.   I'm not ever going to be a runner, but I did have a blast when Eric organized the Catoctin Mtn hike back in November and can't wait to go hiking again. Hugs, Mo
