4 years ago today...almost to the hour...I was laying in my hospital bed saying Thank God its over, I made it through surgery. After weeks if fearing the unknown I could now start my new life. And let me stress it is like a new life. No more aches and pains, no more depression, no more not wanting to go out with friends or anywhere, and no more cringing when trying on clothes and hating everything. WLS saved my life.....I started out as a lightweight (248)to most standards but inside I suffered like everyone else. To this day I am happy to say I have maintained an 80lb loss(167) wearing size 10 down from a 22-24...I go up and down 5 lbs but really seem to hold steady. I have yet to dump to this day though sometimes I wish I would so I could drop another 20. I can eat everything, sometimes a ton and other days just alttle. My energy level is great, my health is good and my attitude is fine aswell. Some people say it changes their marriage life after WLS....mine is still GREAT...I figure if you had problems before, WLS wont make them go away...if your fine before... welllllll....somethings get even better lol ....anyway if I had to do it all again I would do it in a heartbeat and I would recommend it in a heartbeat. All the worries in the beginning are normal, the fears , the what ifs, just everythiing. But in the long run its worth it and Im living proof it works....for the BETTER!!!!!

Hi Kimberly, Happy anniversary!   I am just 12 days from my 4 year anniversary myself and it's been an incredible journey that will continue long into the future (... like the rest of my life .. ) Best wishes as your journey continues. Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!
