Thank you! You seem to be close to me, how did you like Dr. Harrington? Ellie

Hi again Ellie.  Yes, we do live near each other!  Let's stay in touch.  Maybe we can attend the same support groups!   I have great confidence in Dr. Harrington.  I was very nervous prior to surgery and he has a calming effect.  He is a perfectionist in his work, and I truly believe that my lack of complications has a lot to do with his precision and his close attention to everything he does during the procedures.  I recommend him highly.  The only negative I can report has absolutely nothing to do with him, but it is the parking situation at his office
in the busy part of SS, past Colesville Rd toward DC, and although you can certainly find parking at the meters in the lots a couple of blocks away from his office, the metered spaces closest to his office are often not available. And those closest meters are limited to one hour.  So his building is not a regular medical building like I'm used to with either underground pay parking or free parking lot.  I spent some time hiking a couple of blocks during some very cold weather this year to get to his office.  This was a small price to pay to have such a great surgeon.  And as time goes by, we need to return to our bariatric surgeon's office less and less often and it becomes easier and easier to do the walking! Dr Harrington's
website continues to be developed, but information is available at http://www.bariatriclife.net/  and if you go to the Holy Cross Hospital site  http://www.holycrosshealth.org/index.htm and search under "Find a Physician" "Harrington" you will find his photo, phone, and information on his experience and credentials.  If you have not already done so, be sure to visit the Holy Cross website to find out when you can attend one or more of the informational sessions.  I found them very helpful.  the physicians are there to explain processes and answer questions and previous patients also relate their experiences.  http://www.holycrosshealth.org/svc_bariatric_support.htm  Then post-surgery support groups are also available at HC.
