Time to remind everybody about the Glen Burnie Support Group meeting next week.  We generally meet at NCHS.  We socialize from 6:00pm till 6:30pm..and then we meet, chat, discuss from 6:30pm till 8:00pm.  Next week we are doing something special.  We will be meeting next week, on Tuesday, May 6th at Los Portales Restuarant on Aviation Blvd in Glen Burnie.  We will be meeting around 6:30pm.  I am calling this weekend to let them know we are coming.    Remember that we are going to the restuarant to practice the skills of healthy eating out.  If you are interested, the website for the restuarant (check out the menu) is as follows:  www.losportalesinc.com/menu.nxg Let me know if you have any questions...

I will be at the next meeting but not this one. I have out of town company coming tomorrow until the 11th for my Birthday on the 8th. This week is going to be insane. My biological Mom asked if we could spend one birthday together. I told her sure this year so we planned it so we will probably meet in silver spring because neither of us drive to the others. She is in Gaithersburg. We were looking for a tea room but couldn't find one, Then today my mom that raised me (I was adopted)called and said she was taking me to lunch on my birthday. I had to think quick I didn't want to hurt her feeling so we are going to lunch the day before. Then I have my Godchildren and their parents here tomorrow -11th. It is going to be crazy besides keeping up the pool/gym and trainer. Plus my normal stuff my son and his job and he has a home teacher part tie so I have to be here then you now life.It is so full now. I don't know how I managed in bed all those years. My life is beyond full :)  For about a week recently our dog was very sick and dieing-long story my daughter is a vet tech so we were doing her IVs at home and I was up round the clock and watching her. We almost lost her but she is getting better.  My point here is I didn't exercise  and I didn't eat my healthy meals instead i lived on 100 calorie type snacks well I gained a pound and it freaked me out. I stayed up that pound for a bit and I think I may have gained more anyway it is off and I am losing again but I got back on my routine. For me it shows I need to keep doing the right thing every day  and I have to exercise. I am exhausted though so I better get to bed because as usual I still have some paperwork to do and it is 12:40am. I never see bed these days and I am up 5-6am almost daily. I am not complaining I am grateful I can do this. I love my life but I do have to find some balance and get some down time for me. Not this week with company See you all soon Laurie.

Count me in.  Looking forward to my first Margarita since surgery - who's driving?  Can't wait for mexican food.  It's something I've avoided.

I am looking forward to it!

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

I'm going to try to make this one, I have a few things going on that day and then work that night but I've been dying to meet some WLS people in my area.  Someone please be on the lookout for me since Kristen is the only one of you I've met!
