I haven't been posting or reading for months. I hope this finds everyone in great health and that your weight loss is progressing in a positive manner and that you are kicking butt on your workouts.
I'm down to 178 and am caught between a size 14 and 16 because of the extra skin on the thighs.
After my physical my PCP looked at my thighs and said all that skin is not going to go back it will have to be removed. I fell out laughing -- she is a riot. So she sent me to consult with this reconstructive surgeon who specializes in surgery of WLS patients. He is a no holds barred kind of surgeon and straight up informed me that he doesn't perform surgery on smokers -- well since I don't smoke -- not an issue. He is ready to perform the tummy tuck and breast lift (Lord how those things have change -- if I didn't use a fitness bra one of these things could put my eye out. ) :rofl:
The only thing is he want perform the tummy tuck and breast lift at the same time because of the length of time a person will be under -- so two separate surgeries -- three with the thighs. My insurance requirement is 18 months after surgery and since I'm a WLS patient -- I'm in -- all I have to do keep track of my weight loss for the next 6 months so I'm looking at a winter surgery. I told him breast and thighs are definitely a priority -- the arms and thighs can wait. However, I doubt very seriously if I have the arms done. I saw this documentary where this plastic surgeon doesn't like performing reconstructive surgery on the arms -- so I'm working those girls HARD.
Well I hope everyone is planning on having a great holiday weekend. It's my holiday weekend to work so that is where I'll be Sat - Mon.
