feeling
Not good. I know that feeling "drugged up" is uncomfortable and you are eager to move on, but you really shouldn't try to eliminate your pain meds until your body is really ready. The pain can cause more problems than the foggy brain feeling. It can increase the fatigue on your body, discourage proper activity level and create/intensify the mental fatigue and possible depression that comes after surgeries. Please don't take a chance on making things much worse by cutting down your meds too soon. You'll be drug free and feeling fab soon enough, I promise. :) *BIGHUG*
You mean "active members of society" don't take medication when they need to? Strange. If you're hurting or feeling badly or sick, how can you be an active member of society? I know this is not what you want to do, but "bite the bullet" and call your doctor. See is she/he can make you an active memember of society by giving you some medication that will help and not hinder. There are also meds for nausea so that can possibley help and let you take the pain meds. BTW, for whom are you being a hero?
