Lisa - I hope the job comes through for Larry!  It's tough waiting for an offer in today's economy. The pool is MUCH more forgiving on your muscles than the treadmill!!! Okay, so you stepped on the scale once today - why 15 minutes later?  Stop DOING that to yourself!!!  You'll drive yourself crazy.  If you didn't, write down what you've been eating and what makes you sick.  It'll help Dr. K maybe pinpoint what's going on. Keep us posted! Tia

My three things 1) As everyone said can't say enough about air conditioning! I feel for my husband he is working outside. Most times we don't get along but I wouldn't wish working outside on anyone!!! Hope he paces himself he is stubborn!   2) Still able to be off of work while I struggle with this low blood pressure problem.  3) I am starting my 3rd week post op and have not had major complications.    Stay indoors and enjoy the  cool air!!

Hey Terri - I hope they get your pressure resolved soon.  Once you're able to eat solid foods, cheese has a lot of salt (especially feta), so that may be another option for you.  Also, anything that's canned usually is higher in sodium.  And Old Bay is high in salt, too, so you can use that as a seasoning. I'm glad, aside from that, that things are going well. Tia

Okay, my turn:  1) that Cira and Gia are not getting any worse!  2)  that I have enough money to put gas in the car to get to work 3) that I got in a little more fluids yesterday than I have been.  It's been a struggle since surgery to get the fluids in.  Everytime I drink anything, I feel nauseated! Not a good feeling at all.  I go to the NUT and doctor on Thursday, so maybe we can come up with an answer as to what's going on.  NEXT.......  deb

Hey Deb! I had a hard time with just plain water for a LONG time.  I couldn't drink it plain and I couldn't drink it cold.  Once I overcame those two issues, it did get easier.  How about hot tea?  Yeah, I know, not exactly the weather for it, but it CAN be soothing, especially peppermint. Hang in there, I promise it'll get easier to get your fluids in.  Don't forget s/f popsicles - they help, too. Tia

Today I am grateful for: 1.  Air Conditioning 2.  Having our own pool and a husband who LOVES to do all upkeep on it.  He says it is relaxing, satisfying to have in great shape. 3.  Ann Taylor Loft.  I bought some beautiful summer things that can be mixed and matched with some items already own.  It is feeling like a very cute summer season as far as clothing is concerned.

So here are my thankfuls for today,  1. I am so glad that I have been able to spend the last week with my sister. Her and her DH and leaving tomorrow am. It has been a busy and fun week. We have been so many places and done so much. Now- it's just convincing her hubby to MOVE!!!!  2. Last night we had a scare with some major pain, and I am SO THANKFUL that it appears at this point to be nothing too serious.  3. That I live in 2008, when we have AIR CONDITIONING!!!

1 - That I am so busy that I don't have time to worry about the heat (and I am sitting in air conditioning anyway) 2 - That I actually like my current dentist. I went to the dentist this morning and the process really was not bad and much more efficient than it used to be with my old dentist. There are a lot of other places I would rather be than the dentist, but at least he does a good job. 3- That I keep getting reinforcement when I need it most. I was at the gym last night. I really did not want to be there and was not looking forward to completing my stint on the treadmill. A woman I had noticed was smiling. I thought she was smiling at someone else. But then she came over to me to compliment me on my weight loss. She had noticed a change from the last time that she saw me and she even said I looked younger. Bless her! Anyway, it was a lot easier to finsih the workout after that! Debbie
