3 THINGS FOR TUESDAY!
Good morning! Busy today, so I've gotta be quick! Today, I'm grateful for:
1. That I've not yet resorted to telling people what I REALLY feel. Even though I'm a big ball of hormonal craziness, I HAVE managed to reign it in. There are people in this world who should be grateful for that!!!!
2. That I can sit back, watch the nonsense in life and know that I can choose to participate in it or not.
3. Music - Yes, a repeat of yesterday, including the new Journey CD. It's great - transports me immediately back to a time when my biggest concern was - is my eyeshadow glittery enough, and will he ask me to the dance???!!! I'm an 80's girl - had the big hair, and remember many a time spent in the bathroom with other girls, tryining to "feather" our hair just so, trading black eyeliner (that we had heated with a lighter), to line the inner rims of our eyes, and using roll-on lip gloss that tasted like Juicy Fruit Gum!!! OMG!! We were SO hot - or so we thought!!!! Sometimes, I'd give anything to go back to that time!!! LOL!!!
Hope everyone has a great day!
Tia
1) Only two more days to the weekend, and I don't have to work and no kids. However, a good friend of mine passed away on Sunday and I have to go the funeral on Saturday. Thats going to be really hard for me. May he RIP.
2) Got to Meet Pamela and Debbie off the MD Board.
3) Its cooler in my office today.
***Still smoke free - 1 month and 1 week today!!!!
Teri
Teri, I am sorry to hear about your friend. My thoughts are with you. It was good meeting you in person last night. Congrats on maintaining a Smoke Free Status. That is really hard to do. Keep up the good work. Keep cool for now! (LOL - I can't wait for the day in the future when you first realize that you are no longer warm all the time, but cold instead!) Debbie
Thanks Debbie! He was a great guy!
As for being smoke free, yes it is very hard. I'm really proud of myself!
Oh and yeah, I was hot last night!!! I was also nervous. That was my 2st RNY Support Group. It was a great bunch of people...lol Especially the guy who was only 3 weeks out and had already tried to eat a drumstick...and beef...lol He is really testing the waters or pushing the envelope as some people say...lol
Again, it was nice to meet ya last night!
Teri

I'm SO sorry to hear about your friend. I'll be thinking of you and clapping for you that you haven't had a cigarette despite this horrible stress. Please hang in there!!!
I think I'm going to have to pack up MY office and move to one across the hall. The a/c doesn't work, and they tried to hook up a window unit, but it keeps blowing the circuit. Appropriate, since I think today blows. LOL!!!!
Hugs always, but especially today!
Tia
Hey Tia!!! Yeah, it has been a hard few weeks for me, but by the grace of God, I'm still smoke free..lol As for your a/c problem, oh yeah, u need to move. I can't stand to be at work and be hot...That should not be allowed...lol If we are required to come to work, then they need to have adequate accomodations for us...lol
