People laugh at my parents and I as well :  I don't understand it at all; Don't all dogs have four dog beds and four water bowls scattered all over the house???? And a ramp  to get on the bed and steps to get on  the couch?

I've said it before and I'll say it again - my dog sleeps wherever she chooses - on my bed, under the covers, etc.  She is much better company than most of the men who have been there!!! Tia

HI Everybody!! Today I'm thankful 1.) That there is no photographic evidence remaining of me, my hair, make-up and "fashion" choices from the 80's:  Leggings w/ an over sized shirt, blue eye-shadow and shield earrings, headband braided with gold string  like the one Olivia Newton-John wore in the Let's Get Physical  video!!...Anyone?...C'mon don't act like it was only me!!... 2.) That the music from the 80's remains: Journey, Corey Hart, The Pretenders, Bobby Brown, New Edition, Prince, Whitney Houston (pre-crack)...take me back...3.)  I'm thankful for the tattoos and heavy body piercings worn by the kids today. When these days become the "good old days" the choices we made in the 80's won't seem  nearly as ridiculous.    Peace and Blessings, -Antoinette

Hey Toni!!!  LOL!!!  Right there with ya on the fashions!!!  Pin striped jeans, two colors of layered slouch socks, Reebok sneakers, BIG shield earrings, etc!!!!!!!  No headband, though!!! I'm so glad to see you on the boards.  I've been a bad friend - I go from visiting you to not calling - but rest assured, you've been in my thoughts!!!  It just LOOKS better at work if I'm on the puter and not the phone.  But please, call me if you need anything!!

Hugs,

Tia

Tia: Slouch socks!?! How could I have possibly forgotten about slouch socks?! I had to buy sneakers at least one size larger in order to wear more than one pair at a time. .  NP on the keeping in touch front.  You have so many irons in the fire I marvel at how you juggle it all.    Talk to you soon!-A.

Antoinette: I had to laugh.  I loved Olivia Newton John and a friend and I were just talking about Xanadu.  I used to wear the one lace glove with the fingers cut out and a lace headband, in purple of course.  I'm such a Prince fan.  I remember break dancers on the street and buying big earrings from the vendors in Washington.  and Painters pants!!!!  . . . and the sweatshirt that hung off of your shoulder.  . . . and leg warmers.  I could go on and on. . . How funny.

Just give it time everyone. You know what they say, everything old becomes new again! Unfortunately, I have been around long enough to see it. I remember things from the 60's and 70's that have already come back, but I won't go there..... LOL!
