3 THINGS FOR MONDAY!

Good morning!!!  Hope everyone had a safe, happy, fun holiday weekend!!  Mine was good - full of family, friends and work.  I should be grateful that I still have a thumb - I cut my right thumb REALLY badly on Friday while slicing cantaloupe - OMG! you don't realize how much you use your thumbs until you CAN'T!!!  No, not for THAT!!!  LOL!!!  I probably should've gone to the ER, but I didn't want to hang out at Redneck Central with Billybobjoedondan, who probably blew off HIS thumb while lighting fireworks!!!  So, some liquid bandage, a regular bandaid, and I'm good as new!!  So, in addition to still having all 10 fingers, I'm grateful for: 1.  Heartwarming moments - On Thursday, while I was cleaning out KB's lunchboxes (note to brother: Um, could ya do this a little more often???  ICK!!), I noticed that they both had zippered pockets full of stuff.  They saw me pulling out little pieces of paper out and yelled, "Don't throw that stuff away, Tia!"  Turns out, it was the little love notes my brother puts in their lunchboxes every day.  The notes ranged from the simple to the silly, and while I thought that was sweet, what really touched me is that KB have saved EVERY SINGLE ONE.  My brother thought they just threw them away!!! 2.  Public library - I LOVE this place!!!  It's like a candy store for me!!  I got a great chick-lit read on Saturday, "How to be Single."  No, not a self-help book, but it's actually a piece of fiction that reads like my life!!!  It's incredible and just the way I envision what my book would read like could I actually write!!!  I love that books can transport you to another place and time.   3.  That after today (cause I'm already here), I only have 7 more work days until vacay starts!!!!  WOO-HOO!!!!  And hopefully, while I'm away, I get to meet with some of the shore losers!!! Hope everyone has a great day!!  It's gonna be humid - remember to water your mailman!!! Tia

Hey Tia, sounds like you had a great weekend. I had four days off but didn't do too much, honestly! But that's ok. I'm at work now and will keep busy this week. I'm grateful for: 1. my animals. i came home from being at my parents for a couple days and my cats acted like i was gone a year. they give me so much love and attention. it's so great.  2. that my job is so close. it's so great to be watching the news in the morning and when the traffic report comes on, i don't care what is said. what a great feeling! 3. air conditioning and fans. it was so humid this weekend. just walking outside, the air condenses on my face.

Hey Nic!!! As always, I'm happy to see you posting!!!!  Sometimes, doing nothing is very refreshing.  I'll let you know if I ever experience that!!!  LOL!!! I'm right there with you on the animals - Happy is so ecstatic to see me after I've been gone - doesn't matter if it's a day or just an hour.  I always said that if I could find a man willing to spin in circles for me like she does, I'd be a happy girl!!! "I used to have that kind of commute," said the girl who now puts $120-150 in gas in her car a week.  Sigh.  Oh, well, at least I have a job to go to!!! Right there with ya on the a/c - give me a room that feels like a meat locker!!!

Have a great day!

Hey Jen! Yeah, isn't that sweet about the lunchbox notes?  I love that the values my parents brought us up with are being instilled in KB. Brothers are great that way, aren't they?  Even though sometimes, I'd gladly sell mine (like this morning), I don't know what I'd do without him.  And I know he feels the same way! Glad to hear Grandpa's doing okay - will continue to keep him in my prayers!!

Disney in August???  You are a brave girl!!

Have a good one!

Good morning, good morning.  Had another great weekend, hope everyone here did also!!!! Here are my 3 things: 1.  Little WOW moments:  11 lbs lost in 1 week, being able to cross my legs at the knees and all the great compliments that I received over the weekend.  I still have a long way to go, but 48 lbs lost and gone forever!  That's a WOW to me! 2.  My husband's great (and large) family.  Their family reunion was this weekend and I always have a blast!!!! Tia:  Mike said HI.  I asked him what was up with the tongue in the photos and he said that it never hurts to advertise!!!  LMAO!!!  I wanted to take a new photo for you, but I forgot my camera.  Glad to report he was NOT wearing those bib overalls.  He told me that he used to wear them with a bow tie.  OMG what a trip. 3.  Today is a quiet day at work.  Hardly anyone here!!!

Tia: I remember the bandana too!!!  Yes, he is a PIG, not even a piglet!!!  He told me if I get any smaller he was gonna have to jump on me and I'm his cousins wife!  He's too much for me!  No Johnny wasn't there.  I always thought he was so nice, but you've got me thinking otherwise.  A wolf in sheeps clothing?

When I worked with Mike at Aviation, he was dating a girl named Marylynn - is she still around? How about Mike's mother - is she still alive? Yes, definitely a SHARK in goldfish clothing - a story better left for another day!!! Tia
