Tia, you explained it EXACTLY right ! Even my kids have it down... When I start drooling and lift my my arms over my head, they start with "Oh my god, mama's got something stuck, get the puke bucket..."    The cold sweats, and they bring me cheese sticks ... They are two entirely different things, but I am a puker when something is stuck, I CANNOT deal with the pain...

Hey Suzanne!!  Wow, do you have THEM trained!!!  Good job!!! There must be a look about it - my brother said he can tell when I get quiet (obviously, that doesn't happen often), and get this LOOK on my face, that something is NOT LIKING ME!!! Like I said, I haven't had to make myself puke in a long time - thank God!!! Tia

I refer to the stuck part as feeling like an elephant is sitting on my chest.   When I get to that point it has to come up and it generally comes up on its own without any prompting on my part other than leading myself to a receptacle (hopefully in the privacy of a bathroom!!!) Here I am 4 plus years post op and I STILL get things stuck on a fairly regular basis.  My rule of thumb is .. if it oinked, moo'd or clucked in a former life there's a good chance it will be stuck .. tho I did fix pork ribs the other night and managed to eat part of one and nothing got stuck or came back up!!!!  Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

Hi Moie!!!! Having witnessed several of your episodes, I can attest to the fact that dense protein is NOT your friend!!!  I feel for you, as I often say that beef, chicken and pork are not MY friends, either!!  Although I've gotten a lot better with beef and chicken.  I'm just thinking that pork will ALWAYS be a no-no for me!!!  Thank God for shrimp and cheese!!! I know you'll agree with me that junk food goes down WAY too easily - and that REALLY bites!!!! Hugs, T

Believe it or not .. even junk food is losing its attraction for me!!!  But I've developed an unhealthy relationship with the NY style bagel crisps that come in the HUGE bag at Sam's club .. and they make a great base for peanut butter or cream cheese!!!  uhoh Hugs, Mo P.S.   Enjoy your phone training ...

I will say the only good thing about dumping is that it cleans you out like colonics...LOL
