OMG!!!  It's been SUCH a long week!!!  UGH!!!!  I'm guessing that even though my work week next week is only 3 days long, it'll seem like 23!!! So what's up with everyone?  Kristen's Gabby is done scaring everyone for the moment and Cira's baby Gia is doing well (separate post on that), so hopefully, these two girls will settle themselves down so their parents can rest!!! Today I'm grateful for: 1.  Friendship - My BFF Jill, Heather Modi, my "other hubby" Floyd and my surrogate child, Kylie, hosted my Kaity at the Ironbirds game last night.  I talked to Kaity this a.m., and she said she had a blast.  The Ironbirds won, 9-2, and in the battle of Kylie vs. Heather - it was Kylie - 1 bite on Heather's kneecap, Heather - 0!!!!  LOL!!!  Kaity and Kylie just love each other and I constantly have to remind Kaity not to laugh at Kylie's antics, because it'll just encourage her.  But Kaity says, "But Tia, she is just SOOOOOO funny!"  What would my life be without these friends???  Thanks, guys!!! 2.  My Captain - Man, oh, man.  Got my evaluation yesterday and I was kind of afraid.  But it was good, actually, it was great, considering that I really don't give them 100%.  I can't help it, after all the work political bs of the last year, I just feel so defeated and frankly, don't care.  However, I DO need a job, so I need to step up to the plate for them and give them nothing less than my best.  He's a good man and told me he doesn't care what I do as long as I get my work done.  What more could you ask for? 3.  That after today, I have only 4 more work days left.  WOO-HOO!!! Have a great day!! Tia

Good morning!!!   I'll go with my usual 3 ... but add another .. My staff .. I always say I'm grateful for a job that I enjoy but I have to say that if not for my staff I could easily be miserable every day.   I have wonderful capable support and without them I would definitely not be a shining star. Have a wonderful Thursday (geeeeez . I almost typed Wednesday) I am determined to finish writing these procedures/instructions today so I had better get started!! Hugs, Mo

Comparison is the thief of joy!

If we spend our time comparing our life/weight loss/body to others, we totally miss what WE have accomplished.   Keep in mind how far you have come and what you can do now that you couldn't do weeks/months/years ago.   I hate the expression " It's all good", but in this case it fits!   Wherever you are in your journey  ... It's ALL good!!!

I never miss an opportunity to brag on them to other people and to make sure they know how much I appreciate them too!

1.) Gabriella is fine! Her chest pain is bad eating habits and she needs some Zantac.  Shhhhheeewwww  Thanks for all your prayers.  I was in panic mode but all it good. I am so grateful for her pediatrician, I just love him.  Gabriella is finally back on the charts and she weighs 41lbs soaking wet, finally at age 7.  She is just a little minute. 2.) Looks like I am starting school in Oct. at Univ. of MD for nursing and will be able to work at the hospital and get paid, that is a plus!  So I will learn and work my butt off!  I am so up for this.  I will know more next month.  My first set of classes are for 7 weeks, I can't wait to be back in the ER and I will get some OR time and that rocks my socks.  They throw you right in head first.  I am good for that! 3.) I am so excited I do not have to work Saturday, someone wanted the OT and I gave it away. Have at it! I am grateful someone took that cause that does not happen often around here.  I hate working Saturdays at the hospital, to much drama sometimes for me. YEAH ME! 4.) 21 days till Atlanta and time to do some more clothes shopping so I do not look like a hobo! LOL

Kristen - 1.  AMEN!!!!   2.  That's great about school.  I need to decide what I want to be if/when I grow up so I don't have to work a minute more than 30 years as a State employee!!  Congrats!!! Tia

A couple of suggestions Tia..Comedianne... Comedy writer...Columnist...You're insightful and funny as all get out. My cube-mate asks what I'm doing, why I'm laughing and it is usually in response to something you've posted. I figure, you may as well get paid for it.

LOL!!!  Thanks, Toni!!!  Unfortunately, my boss is from several generations ago and doesn't appreciate my wit and outspokeness quite as much as you!!  In fact, he's told me he's determined to change the need I have to speak my mind.  Yeah, little old man, good luck with that!!!  LOL!!! It's funny that you mention the writer, because I think the first course I want to take is one in creative writing!!!!  I'd LOVE to write children's books!!!  Or books about the funny things children say/do.  I just need to get motivated.  I lost a lot of that over the last year of so.  I'm still a work in progress.  Of course, I COULD write a book about being single, but I think that's been done to DEATH!!! Thanks for the encouragement, and I'm glad I could make you smile!!!  You friendship does that to me!!! Hugs, Tia

You're too sweet Tia! Listen if you find a creative writing course that interesting and don't mind a tag-a-long, let me know. I used to write quite a bit when I was growing up and I would like to get back into it.
