thanks everyone!  i'm trying to do well with my sip, walk, sip, walk.  my liquids are staying down well, but it seems like such a chore because i don't really want them.  it's strange to drink/eat when you're not hungry/thirsty.  it looks like the humidity is building up out there already too.  blech.

i tried really hard to not make my first post home a big long negative post about the nurses, but they seemed to make so many little mistakes.  they forgot to remove my NPO sign, so I didn't get lunch or dinner.  so, when the other GB patients were drinking broth and tea, i had water and orange jello.  guess what flavor jello i hate?  ha ha

i'm just happy to be home and in control of my destiny.  i rolled out of bed this morning, literally, and took my shower, changed my dressing where my tube was, came downstairs by myself and drank my vitamins and 4 oz of protein water.  oh, and took my prevacid.  i think i may have to switch to the chewable vitamins though.  the nutrimetrics did not sit well.

still waiting to hear from teri's sister to see how she's doing.  everyone have a wonderful and blessed day.  that's how i feel.. blessed.

Welcome home.  Glad to hear that despite what you went through with the nurses, things progressed to where you could go home today.  Take it easy and recover!
