Thanks Kim!!! no offense but it feels good to have you off my back LOL!!!!!!!! I feel pretty ok.......I'm almost at halfway so I still got a lot of work to do. This last half is going to be harder so I gotta dig my heels in and grind it all away!

No offense taken...I wouldn't want me on my back either LOL!!!

I'll look for a date for the SPA weekend and then post to see if anyone is interested.  Glad to have you back.

1.  I had an endocrinologist appointment on Friday and the Dr. told me that my diabetes is no longer considered "uncontrolled."   Woooo Hoooooo!!!!  I got the okay to not continue any meds (no more 5 shots a day).  My A1C was 6.5.  The last time I was in the office (right before surgery) it was 11.  I've added some years to my life!!!

2.  My boss is on vacation this week and hopefully it will be quiet here while she is gone.  Last week was CRAZY!

3.  I'm loosing again, slowly, but the scale creeped down!

Good morning!

My name is Debbie and I live in Millsboro, Delaware (for about 3 years now). I lived in Maryland all my life but got remarried and moved to Millsboro.  I am origainnly from Baltimor. My Dad's family is from Cambridge so we moved there when I was 15 and I lived there for about 6 years-then I lived in Bishopville, MD for over 20 years which is near Ocean City.  I am having my first consultation for lap band surgery next week with Dr. Sonfronski from Salisbury.  I would love to meet other WLS ladies from the Maryland/Delaware area.  I read how alot of the ladies get together from all over to meet and become good friends.  I am willing to travel to Salisbury, etc to meet some of you ladies that have had WLS and share your ideas.  I have met a new friend that is a group leader of the WLS support group I attend here and I know she would love to meet some new people too.
Is there anyone out there that would be willing to meet for dinner or a movie or just to share a few hours together to become new WLS friends?? 
You ladies that post have been my inspiration in making my decision to WLS.  I thank each of you! Any of you had Dr. Sonfronski for your WLS surgery?

Nice to meet you.  Congratulations on your upcoming consult.  It is a wonderous time.  There are many of us on the board from the eastern shore and Deb (K9Krazzi) has started an Eastern Shore Support Group.  We meet the 2nd Thursday of each month.  Our next meeting is at Denny's in Easton at 7:00 on August 14th.  I'd love to meet you.  PM me and maybe we can get something together soon!

Easton is a -little far for me to go during the week but if you all ever have anything closer to Salisbury, PLEASE let me know.  I love support groupsits great  to meet new people.  The one I attend now is  near Lewes, Delaware and it is been interesting to hear about everyone's experiences good and bad.

I feel alittle alone since I have moved to this area.  I don't get to see my old friends very often now and I have found alot of people doesn't understand why I want to do somethign as drastic as surgery.  So, its easier to talk to someone that is and/or has been where I am with weight.
