Hey Bridgette!
It's perfectly normal to be scared and excited - if you weren't, I'd think you weren't normal! You're about to undergo some major physical and mental changes, so be kind to yourself.
Who told you your son is too young; how old is he? Call the hospital and see what their policy is. Once you're there, plead your case to the daytime nurses, if they're mothers, I'm sure they'll sympathize and do what they can.
However, keep in mind that if he's really young, he might get scared by seeing Mommy a little out of it at first, so maybe the day AFTER would be best.
Hang in there!!!
Hugs,
Tia

Wow your time will be here so soon. I have 13 days and I am getting pretty darn anxious myself!! Wow I never thought about my daughter being to young to visit. I may have to ask. She is only two I hope they say she can, because if I cant see my little girl for two days I may loose it in the hospital!!
Good luck and best wishes!
My son was 2 1/2 when I had my RNY surgery three months ago, and he did not come to the hospital to visit me while I was there for four days. It was tougher on me not seeing him....but he was well taken care of by my sisters.
But I also live 2 1/2 hours from the hospital, and that played a part in my not seeing him. If we lived nearby, perhaps I would have had him come by to visit, but still...probably not.
Congrats on your upcoming surgery!
