I agree with what Tia said earlier. We need to keep our answers short and sweet. Let's consider it good service for a waiter/waitress to be concerned if we like the meal or to make certain that they have our order correct. Simply say, yes, thank you for asking. Or Yes, everything was fine. If a compliment is deserved, you can add how much you liked it. Similarly, if something was lacking, you should pass that along as well. You don't owe anyone any further explanation than that. They are there to serve you. You are not there to serve them.

Pam,  first I am sorry you had to deal with the stones!  I know Moie has issues with them from time to time and it's just awful.  Secondly, you never should have had to deal with someone so blatantly RUDE.  Unfortunately, if she was rude about this, she likely would have been rude about anything else you could have thrown at her.  Sounds as if she was just a nasty person in general or she had been having a rotten shift and you got the brunt of it; regardless, it's inexcuseable and if it were me I'd be calling to find out who I can complain to.  Now most hospitals DO send out a questionnaire after you've been there for services to ask how your experiences were.  If you do, be completely honest and name names if you remember what this woman's name was.  Glad you are feeling better..now keep drinking tha****er!  It's something I have a hard time doing myself!

Pam,
So sorry you had to go through not only pain from the stone but the pain of dealing with someone ignorant of your needs.  I agree that you should get in touch with the patient advocate and let them know that their staff is in dire need of some education on WLS and patients that come into their facility with special needs.  Glad you are feeling better.
