I had my surgery done at Bayview last 12/15. I did not have Dr. Lidor - my surgeon was Dr. Steele - who I adore. I was very happy with the care I received while in the hospital and by the entire Bayview medical team during my journey.

I have attended quite a few support groups at Bayview and really have found them to be both awe inspiring and helpful. I would recommend getting to as many as possible early on.

Good luck on your journey - it is a trip of a lifetime.

Cindy, I do my preop on Tuesday also. I start my tests at 9:00 and the the workshop at 1:00.
As both of our doctors practice together I should be seeing you there. I look forward to meeting you.

I went last week to the siupport grop meeting they are awesome there,I missed this week but plan to go next month.

Thanks , i will be sure to go to Sams and Target, I am using the 100% powder Whey I purchsed from Target the chocalate taste like Nestle Quick it is great. I tried it for the first time as my diet starts officially next Monday.

I used Slim Fast low carb pre made shakes. I got a big case of it at Sams club (make sure it is the low carb) and I ate the one meal (stir-fry) for dinner... They give you the recipe for it. It is the plan "B" part of the liquid diet. The first 2 days were hard than it wasn't so bad after that.

Congratulations!!!! I am having my RNY on 9 Nov. I will be keeping you in my prayers. I will definitely be thinking about you. We will be in the same hospital having surgery one day apart. I hope all goes well with you.
