x-post - post-op hair loss - exact reasons?

I wasn't eating all of my protein every day and my surgeon told me my hair would start falling out if I didn't up my protein. THAT got me moving really fast. I hope I don't start losing my hair.

My doctor checked a lot of labs including thyroid, Vit D and zinc.  My zinc level was low and I'm taking a supplement.  I haven't seen any new growth but it stopped falling out in chunks.  I've had anesthesia for 2 procedures since sleeve and I have had thinning in past from anesthesia/surgeries.  Hang in there.  It is painful and I too pictured myself thin before hair loss...like I'd be cute in a hat or something I don't know.  Stalls and slow loss plus thin hair is a drag.  I'm getting highlights on Wednesday...seems to help appearance.
