So you are only drinking one shake a day for 18 grams of protein?  You said only getting less than 20grams a day right?  What else are you eating or drinking?  What stage of food are you currently on?

Topic: RE: Problems with follow up care?

LeAnn, I had my DS done in Puerta Vallarta, Mexico by Dr Casteneda at the end of January this year.  I live in Arizona.  I called the local Bariatric surgeon 's office and spoke with their Nurse practitioner.  She directed me to a doctor in Flagstaff without any qualms and treated me with a great deal of respect.  I went to that doctor who explained that she did not do the DS, but referred me to a Dr. in Scotsdale who is the only one in Arizona who does do the DS.  I got right in with no problem.  All have treated me with a great deal of courtesy and respect.  The only problem I had was finding someone to remove my stitches.  The bariatric surgeons did not have suture removal kits in their offices since they do this at the hospital.  I ended up going to an urgent care whose physician removed my stitches.  All were interested in my journey and none were judgmental.  If you meet a physician who is judgmental, you do not belong with that physician.

It all depends on what I eat.  It seems if I eat too quickly, or eat something that is too dry this happens.  Probably 2x a week.  I have diarrhea all the time though.  Did you get the surgery done?

Thank you.  I will definitely look into that.  I can't take this exhaustion.

Topic: Difference between getting the sleeve done at Hosptial Angeles or Clinca San Juan

Good afternoon,

I am looking into the option of getting my sleeve done in Mexico .. I was wondering if it is worth the additional monies to get the sleeve done at Hospital Angeles or verse Clinca San Juan.   Dr Ramos Kelly does surgery at both.

So would like to hear from people that had the sleeve done at both and why did you pick Hospital Angeles or Clinca San Juan.

Thank you in advance for your help.

It's a good idea to get your OR report also. It's so much better than our DVD's. Good Luck!  Linda
