Hello, I am new to this site and am in need of some advice. I am looking for the best DS surgeon in Mexico... although I realize this is a matter of opinion... and that is what I am seeking... your opinion. Two surgeons have surfaced in my search. Dr. Jose Castanada in Guadalajara and Dr. Antonio Esquerra at Mexicali Bariatric Surgery. The difference in cost is not a factor. I just want a highly recommended surgeon. Perhaps there is a Dr. out there whom I have missed. Suggestion? Thank you so much!

My hospital was Florence Hospital Tijuana and Florence Direct Care is who does the reservation, they offer financing via United medical credit
It is going well. Still in the hospital. But I passed my leak test this morning so I am sip sip sipping. They told me I had more than 10 meters of intestines and that was why I was gaining weight back. The average person has between 6-7. So they did not have to do anything to my original sleeve. But, so far, so good. Thanks for asking! And good luck to you.
I hope your surgery was uneventful and recovery is going well. I'm 2 weeks out from MGB surgery in TJ and am doing pretty good so far. But still having some days where I don't get enough fluids or protein.
How did your surgery go on 4/22/17? I hope your recovery is going well.

I had my surgery in Tijuana with Dr.Camelo on the Hospital Florence Direct Care, I had my doubts but its was the best decision.
Its ben 6 months of my Sleeve and I lost 100lbs

I cannot recommend him and his staff and the whole A Lighter Me operation enough! My dad had vsg 3 years ago done by Dr. Ortiz and I had vsg 1 week ago by Dr. Ortiz. Highly recommend! A fellow sleever who was in mexico same time as I was was from Alaska as well. She came without a companion because airfare was so expensive but they took such good care of her! I can answer any questions you may have.
I'm thinking of using Dr. Mario. Why do you wish you went with the other Dr? Actually I'm thinking of going with either of these 2 drs. Dr Mario is $500 cheaper. I'd love your feedback. Thanks
