I've traveled to close to 50 different countries and was still surprised that there wasn't at least a greater effort on the part of the mexicobariatriccenter to provide more competent care. It would have been comical if it wasn't happening to me. I've had amazing medical care in the past in both the Philippines and Thailand.  I've also heard great things about facilities in India as well. Originally, I was thinking I might want to travel to one of these destinations for the surgery, but time constraints kept me closer to home (i.e., Mexico). However, why couldn't I have just paid an extra $100 for a dozen prn percosets?

I can't answer any of your questions, obviously. It is true that there are better and worse groups in MX just as in anywhere else.

We do get what we pay for and in this case for me it was worth paying more.

Topic: RE: A lighter me mexico

Hi!  Did you end up booking and getting a surgery date?  I do not know much about A lighter me but if it makes you feel better talking to patients of the doctor I am in a facebook group for Dr Carlos Altamirano in Tijuana.  Being in there and seeing all the support from the patients AND the doctor on a regular basis is what got me out of having cold feet.  Any time I get nervous I just go to the group and instantly feel at ease.

Topic: Revision from sleeve to RNY

Hi all!  I haven't been on the forums in a long while.  I am 6 years out from having the sleeve, and have gained my weight back by being very lax and eating all the wrong foods.  I am going to have a revision surgery to RNY by Dr. Carlos Altimarano in Tijuana.  I am very excited and determined not to let life get in the way this time and mess this up.  I am in his Facebook group and have seen so many lives changed by him.  After being on the fence a while, I finally made the choice to do this and do it right.  I appreciate and welcome any support here on the forum.
