Dr.Kam calling Dr. kam patients
Dr. Kam was AWESOME!!! I had my surgery on July 5, 2005 in Ypsilinti with Dr. Kam and I wouldn't have wanted any other doctor. He did a great job. He was straight-forward in the consultation and any meeting I had with him. He was, also, compassionate. He really made me comfortable with my decision and with him and the nurses. One of the things that he did before the surgery that made me even more comfortable was pray with me. This really eased my tension. I don't know if you would call this a mistake but after surgery, my colon got twisted and I was in a lot of pain (gas caught up in it). He acted immediately, though, and went back in the same incisions from the first surgery and fixed it. After that I felt 100% better and I did not have to stay in the hospital any longer. I was out in about 3 days (surgery on Tuesday and out on Friday). I know you will be happy with Dr. Kam and his work. Congratulations and good luck on your journey.
A great Doctor! Very informative, involved and concerned. A perfect surgery for me on 11/30/05. In on Wednesday out on Friday. Minimal discomfort from gas build-up. (Try to take it easy on the self-administered morphine; it slows down your bowels and allows gas to build up which will cause pain.) Good luck.
On a scale of 1-10, Dr. Kam is about a 25. Thoroughly explained the entire procedure and answered all my questions. I felt confident that he knew exactly what he was doing and that he would be capable of handling any situation that came up during surgery. I'm just over six months post-op and have lost just over a hundred pounds and I don't think I could have done it on my own. Had No complications at all.
