I HAVE A DATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YIPPEE!!!!! My date for surgery is AUGUST 8TH!!!!! I go in for for pre-op testing on July 26th.....pray that all goes well!! What kind of things did you do to get ready for surgery?? I am trying to get my ducks in a row before THE DAY. Also, does anyone know if Barix in Ypsilanti has rooms where family can stay? Is my hubby allowed to stay with me? Home is 2 hours away. Thanks again for all of the support!!

Congratulations Anne!!! It won't be long now! I had to ride three hours home from my surgery and a pillow to put between you and the seat belt was GREAT!!! Supports you plus is just more comfortable. Took too much stuff to the hospital and didn't use any of it. Keep it simple. Best of luck! Theresa

Hi Anne congrats on your date! Soon you are gonna be a whole new person, you're gonna love it. Before surgery i made sure to get the house super clean, made sure my kids would be alright while i was gone, bought groceries and protein and vitamins for post op life....carnation instant breakfast, soups , stuff like that. The only things i took with me to the hospital were a robe, slippers, and chapstick, brush, toothbrush, stuff like that. Don't forget to take some loose clothing for your ride home, i actually took a sundress. I hope everything goes well for you. Hugs Linda
