I am so excited.!

Hi everyone, This is my first post. I can hardly contain myself. After a year and a half I am getting a tulip filter put in on Aug. 21, and my Lap RNY is going to be done by Dr. Obeid at Flint Hurley Hospital on the 24th. I have had such great care from Dr. Obeid's office and they are never too busy to answer all of your questions with a smile in their voice. Please, if anyone would be so kind, would you please say one quick prayer for me? I also met so many nice people at the office I hope that they will contact me and let me know how their surgery has gone and if they need my prayers. I send hugs to everyone out there, my weight loss brothers and sisters. PS I lost 13 lbs in preparation for the surgery. So..... Let the magic begin! Marian

Congrats Marian!!!!!!!!! The Hurley staff is very good. There will be an "August board" set up for everyone who had surgery this month. I suggest you get on that, I've gotten TONS of support from talking with those who were at the same stage as I am!!! Wishing you the very best from your wls!!!! Hugs, Laurie - 15 mths out and @ goal

I can feel your excitement! I have waited for a year and now have a date of Oct 25. I will keep you in my prayers, and maybe you can keep me in yours! Good luck, and congrats on the weight loss BEFORE your surgery, I know how hard it is not to have this and that ONE LAST TIME. Ann

Oh my - your date is just around the corner! Congrats Marian! Good news on the pre-op weight loss too - docs love to have a bit more room to move around in there, and I bet they are very pleased with your progress. I'll keep you in my thoughts, Julie
