13 month post op today-Labs update

I am 13 months post op TODAY!!!!!!!!!!! I went to see my WLS Surgeon yesterday (the 18th) and all LABS came back wonderul, in good levels and he's proud of me. I gained 4 lbs but lost body fat and body fat mass!!!!! I'm still doing great but he said "you are TOO HARD on yourself...knock it off!" I feel great that the labs came back good...I wasn't worried but.....there is always that little concern in the back of my mind. You know? I'm celebrating the great news today by attending an Equine "Dressage" Show here in town with a friend and can't wait! (We leave in 1 hour)..... And next weekend, I'm meeting Phyllis Gilbert over in Frankenmuth YAY!!! To take photos of her for her profile so you can see just how gorgeous she is and to spend the day shopping, chatting and having a blast!!! I can't wait for that either!! And my one other dream is within the next year, to purchase and board my very own horse, which I am in the process of looking for around December or January. I am looking for a 13-14 hand high mare, preferably a Paint, that is trained well and slightly gentle and will ride English. If anyone knows anyone who has a horse for sale around 1 grand or so, please shoot me an email! Off to the show!! Many hugs for a happy weekend to all of you!! Stacey

Stacey, you are doing really great!!!! Looks like all your dreams are coming true!! We are into horses too (me and my hubby) except we ride for pleasure, on trails and also we go with our team of Belgians and our covered wagon. My dream is to be able to get up on my Appaloosa without a step, but she is tall and I am short, so have to get a lot of the weight off so I can pull my big body up! I figure next year will really be better! I don't know of anybody that has a paint forsale but if I hear of one I will let you know. Now have a great day and be proud of yourself!! Ann

Thank you all..............wow what a long day at the "fairgounds" watching the Mid Michigan Dressage Event!!!!! Everyone from the barn I go to (farm) placed...and the grand daughter of the owner at 9 years old came in 2nd in two classes!!!!!!!!! She beat out an adult in the Equitarian event too! WOW!!! It was great fun, a bit rainy in the morning and then foggy ...looming in the air dense humidity but we stayed the whole day. I didn't want to leave the stables where all the horses were ......you could hear them whinny and walk by their stalls and just gaze at their beauty. I'm on the prowl for a horse of my own, and in the right time will find one. Boarding and moving isn't a problem for me, I can board at the farm where my friend boards hers. It's not cheap, but I'll do without stuff to have the horse of my dreams!!! I think in about 1 year or so I'll be all set. That's my plan!!! Great day and great weekend........the competition/show is going on today but I have to work so I'm missing the fun!!! Stacey
