welcome to michigan!
when i first heard "dream cruise" i thought, "we aint even near the ocean" but gosh dang it, that was cool! it's like all the old muscle cars must be around detroit cause woodward sure was awesome this past week. i'm sad it's over.
i think i like it up here, i'm glad i moved up here from FL (for so many reasons but this woodward thing was a thrill!)
what's next?
The only thing I miss about living in the Detroit area is the Downriver Dream Cruise. Not quite as grand as the Woodward Cruise, but still just a fantastic event. As a kid who grew up in Dearborn - I was weaned on engine fumes. I had a boyfriend who taught me how to recognize the brand of any car by its front end. I can still amaze people to this day with that knowledge! My fiance just stares at me slack-jawed, LOL.
Cider Mills are next. Color tours are next. Punkin' patches are next. Try Erie Orchards down near Monroe. You can always head up to the Great White North, my way, to see some awesome colors and Lake Michigan. You'll love it here.
