BCBS PPO criteria????

Ms. Jan B.is correct. I have BCBS of MI POS (community blue) and I got the same requirement list from the bariatric surgeon. The Docs are being very cautious because BCBS no long gives preapproval. They are making suring all there ducks are in a row before doing anything. I see both sides of the coin. But it is fustrating knowing you have decent ins coverage and the doctor could hold up things because of the ins co being fussy now. Becky

Well, in a way its probably a good thing cuz i don't want to get stuck with the bill anymore than the doctor wants to eat it.

Hey Colleen! I have Blue Cross PPO (Community Blue) and if you take a look at my profile I have an entry from March 16th-ish that you will want to read. In it is the letter my PCP wrote for submission to BC. The center I went through told me EXACTLY what the letter had to read in order to "bypass" submitting all of my medical records. I had surgery March 31st and other than my deductible and co pay they covered me 100%! Best of luck to you in your journey! Jennifer 355/259/150

wow.. thanks everyone for the info... I have to deal with BCBS PPO Community Blue as well. And I am just getting the ball rolling for WLS. hopefully all will go alright.
