5 for Monday

1. I do not have kids yet so I do not have to worry about school 2. Seeing my oldest nephew get married it made me feel so old plus meeting a wonderful man who I have come very close to. 3. I wanted to go to Ceda point or Great america to ride the roller coasters 4. No not yet but it is getting colder outside at night and a nice breeze off the lake Michigan 5. We draw names in our family so I usually start in November or early part of December.

1. When does your kids' school start? 9/5~ this is the last year for my last kid. YEA (I think) 2. What was your most memorible moment this summer? This was really hard~On August 2nd my brother passed away suddenly. He was very sick and didn't know it. The medical examiner said the only thing that could have saved him was a heart transplant. He kept complaining that he was miserable, everyone (even him) thought it was fron the heat. I miss him so much. it just wont be the same without him around. 3. Whats one thing that you wanted to do this summer but didnt get to? We were supposed to go to Disney world in July. We had to postpone it until Feburary. So my grandson could spend time with his daddy before he was deployed to Iraq (again). 4. Do you have leaves that are changing colors? Actually I did notice quite a few yellow leaves comming out. I love the fall but just don't want summer to end this year. 5. When did you/are you starting your Christmas shopping? The same as I do every year. I talk about getting it done early, then on Christmas Eve I'm running from store to store trying to get it all done as I ask myself Why do I always wait until now to go shopping. lol God bless you, Annette

My kids are 21 and almost 24 my daughter is looking at three different universities to possibly attend for her senior year, she gave up a full ride scholarship to get married and move away 2. What was your most memorible moment this summer? My daughter got married August 4th, it has been a very bittersweet thing to go through, happy to see her so happy, sad to see her go, and silently wondering how long it will be before she calls and says hey you are gonna be a grandma!!! I am sooooooooo not ready for that. Everyone pray that won't be soon 3. Whats one thing that you wanted to do this summer but didnt get to? Actually until this past weekend I had not made it out to Lake Michigan, a friend of mine passed away and since the funeral was on that side of the state I spent the rest of the weekend there, walking on the beach at sunrise, picking blueberries, shopping, ALL BY MYSELF!!!! Yeah me, it was actually very enlightening 4. Do you have leaves that are changing colors? I couldn't believe my eyes today as I past a tree on Maple Road in Troy, it is almost all fully changed, like overnight it happened, like others here I am not ready for it, my fall mums have bloomed already too!!! 5. When did you/are you starting your Christmas shopping? I started mine in July when I happened on some great buys in Birch Run. I have to replace an entire tree of Waterford ornaments since I promised that to my daughter last year for "when she got married" YIKES what was I thinking!!!!
