Hi all. It has been a while since I have been on. So much going on. A lot of problems. Let's see......I had the hernia surgery in December and he fixed my pouch that had stretched. A week ago I had a lap surgery to see remove adhesions from that surgery. And now Thursday I am having an open surgery because the adhesions are massive inside of me. He is also repairing my pouch, which has stretched again. Actually, it is my stoma that keeps stretching and according to him, it isn't anything thta I am doing.....Just something that happens. Still living with the anemia. I am at 165lbs and still have 20 more to go. Lost that after the dec. Surgery, but it all came back once I was able to eat again. It has been a long, complicated journey. Didn't expect to have all of these problems after the bypass. But, it was still a great surgery and I lost 100lbs, so you can't beat that. I would have never been able to do that on my own. How is everyone and what is new???

Alita, Keep your head up, and everything will work out fine. Looks like you have come a long ways even with the setbacks. Look great.. Curt

Hi Alita! I'm sorry there's been so much frustration of late for you...you look wonderful, though! I'm going to find out more about my hernia repair & TT tomorrow, so I was very interested in your comments. I trust the dr. will be able to remove many of the adhesions you have, are they mainly like scar tissue? Did you go back to the dr. for a post-op check and that's when the dr. found the adhesions, or where you in pain/discomfort from them? I'm really hoping that you will decided to join us for our Downriver Support group sometime soon. I don't know if you'll feel up to it in September, but if you do, it's on the 21st at the Big Boy inside Southland Mall...we'd love to meet you, get your input and hopefully encourage you, too! Bring someone special with you, we like to meet you and your loved ones/friends!! Take care of you, Lizzie B
