Tummy troubles from spinach???

Well I have suffered with some of the worst pain and fevers in the past week. I really didn't know what had happened to me until I went to the hospital ...seemed as though I have been suffering from gastritis this past week or so the doc thought. He put me on some meds and sent me on my merry little way, only to call me back this evening and say "Jill the tests we did show you have been a possible victim of E-Coli contamination and then he proceeded to ask me if I had eaten any spinach in a salad last weekend....well duh yeah on Saturday afternoon just before I came down ill and spent most of the night in the bathroom Looks like there has been an outbreak that effects bagged spinach (you know the stuff you use in salads) so if you are eating out or dining in -- stay away from bagged spinach it might be contaminated with E-Coli bacteria!!!! They have pulled it from the shelf but you might still have some in your fridge or the restaurant you are dining at might have some in their fridge. Just thought I should pass this information on. OMG JILL!!! I SAW THAT ON TV LAST NIGHT!!!!! I AM SORRY YOU GOT THAT!!! ONE THING I DON'T LIKE IS SPINACH OF ANY KIND...EWWWW RIGHT UP THERE WITH LIVER!!!! I KNOW THAT DOESN'T MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER BUT I REALLY AM SORRY THAT YOU ARE SICK FROM THE SPINACH!!!! HOPE YOU ARE GOING TO BE OK SOON!!!!! HUGS JUDY
