Secret Pal Participants PLEASE READ!

I have received a lot of e-mails lately regarding problems with the secret pal program. I must say that it is taking the joy out of the game for me but there have been so many that I feel that I have to address the issues. First, please make sure that the monthly gift is mailed so that the recipient RECEIVES the gift BEFORE THE LAST DAY OF EACH MONTH! Second, we all occassionally face some financial difficulties so if there is any reason that you cannot send a gift out for a specific month, email me or Liz so that we can let your pal know. Better yet, send an e-card to your pal so that she knows that she has not been forgotten. Be honest and mention the problem and I am sure that they will be understanding if you need to simply double up the following month. Third, when you receive ANY item (like a simple e-card, a snail mail card & most importantly the monthly theme gift) from your secret pal, post a thank you. Since this is done secretly, the public post is usually the only way the sender knows the items were received. Fourth, If you are not receiving anything from your pal, I really do need to know so that they can be dropped from the game and I can assign someone to you who is playing the game properly. If you have any concerns or issues regarding this post, please by all means send me an email. I am not doing this to point any fingers and if you are participating in the game properly then you know this is not directed at you. The secret pal game was started by Jen Allen to be fun and I want to keep it that way. Okay, I am getting off my soap box now! Tracy

Tracy, It's a shame that you can't enjoy the game because of "administration" problems. I really appreciate the work you and Liz have put into the game. When it's done right, Secret Pals can be really fun. Brenda
