OT/ Parrots
Jay - my mom has a parrot that she brought up here from Florida when she moved. He aclimated to MI climate just fine. His name is Digger and his favorite saying was, "Digger's a pretty boy!" Unfortunately, when my mom bought another parrot, Digger got his "only child" feelings hurt and he quit talking altogether. She's had him up here in Michigan now for about 10 years.
Dont know how they'd do with the dogs at all, best to talk with the pet stores and find out what they suggest.

Your birds should do fine.... with caution.
We raise & show standard poodles.
Boogie our bird picked up mimicking one of the pups wimpering when her litter mates had all gone to new homes.
We have had good luck with th dogs and the bird.
Actully we have been considering a move to SW Florida & was thinking just how much Boog would like the change.
Anyone looking for a house and acreage in Northern Lapeer County?

Well, you got me there.....Didn't see the gators but did see those harmless black snakes. Lots of turtles too.....
The other down side is the population is growing in leaps and bounds.
We love the Sarasota area, to pricey for us so went a 1/2 hour south and bought lots in Englewood........
They are now up for sale. Katrina changed my husbands mind.
