communion during pre-op fast, and afterwards

I am just about to start my 2 week fast for RYN, and was wondering at Mass, if I go to receive communion, small waffer, and sip of wine, will that break the fast, and after I have surgery, will it make me sick? I never thought of this till now, and didn't ask my nutritionest (I will when the office opens). I was just wondering if anybody asked this, or has experience with this. Thanks for helping me! Ann... I took communion during my Pre-Op and I took commuion 6 days post-op. I did not get sick... just my two cents. Erin G 9/12/05 282-144-150 *yes Im below goal*

Thanks Erin, I am trying to get all my ducks in order and yesterday at Mass I thought of this. Glad for your help. I did call the nutritionest and she thought it would be ok, but I am really glad to hear from someone who has been there. You look great and I see you are below goal! Ask for the low carb wafer and wine combo from Communions are Us. It comes with a small side of absolution. You'll be fine. kp
