Has anyone used Dr Mark A Pleatman

I was wondering if anyone has used Dr Pleatman in Michigan? If so, how was your experience? I have been researching surgeons and prices. I will be self pay. He has a really good package price for lap/rny. In fact, I don't know how he can charge so much less then others. Especially, the hospital part. I am not from Michigan and wondered how it worked being from another state. Mostly the after care appointments. I appreciate any and all comments. Thanks, Wanda

Hello Wanda, My Doctor is Dr. Pleatman and I highly recommend him. Dr. Pleatman support system is strong well after the surgery. Dr. Pleatman has a Nutritionist available at his office also. Dr. Pleatman proffesional Website is http://www.laparoscopy.com/pleatman/AboutDr.htm Dr. Pleatman also has a very affordable self-pay package. I don't know what the 2006 prices are, but the price for 2005 was: Total for LapBand, including surgery, anesthesia, hospital, and 2 years of fills, is about $12,500. Dr. Pleatman will also see patients who have been banded elsewhere with 2 options: either pay $250 for the first fill and $150 for subsequent fills, or $2000 for 2 years of unlimited fills, dietitian visits, support, etc. Again this was his 2005 price. I do have to add that his annual Christmas Parties are great and his Support group Coordinator Adele is the greatest. I hope this helps you, Take care, Janice
