i had some trouble with it my first few weeks after surgery until i discovered that i was different than most people and had to wait at least an hour and a half before drinking after eating. that lasted about 10 months and nowadays i'm okay if i have a few sips after eating but try to wait at least a half hour as recommended just so i don't wash the food out of my pouch and get hungry sooner than i should. when i talked to my nutritionist about it i mentioned that a little bit of liquid or food would come up when i belched and she said that was "productive belching" and that it was more a problem for lap banders than roux-en-y people. i remember seeing some lap banders using the "pb" abreviation so that's why i think it must be what was asked about in this thread. If you want more info you might try posting on the lap band forum.

Thanks Jay! I did post this very same question on the Lap band thread under October surgery dates and guess what.......no response just others asking me to find out. Probably because they are all new as well. Finally I have the answer and I know for a fact yours in the correct one. Thanks again! Jackie This forum is more responsive than any other and you guys are the best and the funniest
