Stacey W here reporting in...........

Wow. I'm at Just_Janes home in Plymouth at this time and can't believe how many people posted in regards to my surgery. How things went: I got to the hospital at 545pm and they took me back into pre-op immediately. They did all their stuff and had Mom come in and say good luk and such. I arrived in the Operating Room about 7am. They did their duties of cleaning me thoroughly and up to the table I went and after that a Nurse said "would you like your ****tail now" and I said " How about a shot of Frangelico" --- That is the LAST thing I remember. 7 hours later, YES I SAID 7 HOURS LATER, I was out of the ER and in recovery. It was about 230pm when I got to my "private" room and I don't remember too much after that. People called my cell phone and I thank you for that, and I felt really strange HAVING A FLAT TUMMY!! Dr. DiNick had come in and spoke to me and my Mom and Just_Jane for a while and then I was left alone. I didn't sleep too good my first night there. By 4pm (2 hours after surgery) I was up and walking around the 2nd floor surgical unit and did 3 laps. Later on that night I did 2 more laps. Between respiratory coming in every 5 seconds or something else, I was not able to get a full night sleep. I cried a little because I would just go to sleep and here they would come. I slept great last night as we found Percocet as my pain pill....and we did Benadryl for my itchy eyes and skin. This morning I ate a good breakfast and around 1145 Dr. DiNcik ((((who my mother fell in love with)))) RELEASED ME. He showed Mom how to change things etc. I am feeling a bit tired, and plan to rest for quite a while...however I also am one to follow doctors orders. My 1st post op visit is next Saturday. Overall I am so thrilled to have gotten your support and consideration, thoughts and prayers and positive Vibes........It truly made a difference. Thank you CAREY POISSON for your encouragement and kindness, coming to see me and talk with me....Thanks to Just_Jane for her generosity---she was at the hospital all day Friday after I got into recovery and stayed all afternoon, and thank you DEBBIE MIER FOR being my angel and posting about the outcome.....and thank you to all of you who posted your concerns and thoughts. I'm tirednow and will be offline a while but thank you so much for your encouragement. I HAVE NOT ONLY A FLAT TUMMY AMD A WAISTLINE NOW!!!!!!!!!!! Will be in touch later when I get home. Stacey, Woooo Hooooo!!!! How exciting. It seems like forever until I will be making a post like this one. First thing first though, I need my WLS first, then I will know the excitment you are going through with your TT. I have dreams about it, so I can imagine how you must feel. Stacey, I am so glad you are doing so well. Soon we will get to see the fullbody shots posted of you. You have come a long way and what a great moment for you. You have been in my thoughts daily and will continue to be. Give a thank you to your mom and Just_Jane for taking such good care of you before and after your surgery.
