Hi All, Thought I better get out here and put up an update to my recovery. It has been 10 days now. Where has the time gone, days have passed and you almost forget how you've felt. My first couple of days after surgery were blissful. No pain no feeling no nothing and then it all kicks in. I had Lap. and there is one spot on the left bottom of my stomach that hurts really bad everytime I get up or down. Ouch! I feel like something inside is tearing again and again. Any way my first popsicle was wonderful and then the jello wow. A couple of days later I was sick just looking at the jello and popsickles. It wasn't the food it was the splenda. To much splenda to sweet is nasty. On the seventh day I was able to start my full liquid diet. I never thought cottage cheese could taste so good. I can't wait till next week. I am still having pain in that one area of my stomach and now there is a big bump on that side and I'm hoping it's not a hernia. It's still very painful when I get out of the bed, I haven't found an easier way to do it. I spend a lot of time in my dad's recliner, its much easier to get in and out of. I went for a short walk the last couple of days and I must admit it felt good to get out but if it's to cold I won't be going out walking. Tomarrow I have my first checkup with Dr. Woods and I'm just praying that this lump in my stomach is not a hernia. Will post again soon with information about this lump.
