sublingual B12?

Hi all, Even though I'm still pre-op, my bloodwork turned up with a B12 deficiency. Luckily, I was told I should be able to correct it with oral supplements, but I was wondering if anybody knew what would help maximize B12 absorption? Thanks a bunch, Erynn

I take a liquid sub dingle B-12. i got it from Mejier. Works good and tatses like crap! kp

I got the sublingual 2500mcg at Meijers, brand is Nature's bounty. The first few tingled but they don't anymore. I do two a week and those numbers are good. I found tinier ones at Trader Joe's. They are only 1000 mcg but dissolve in an instant and very cheap. I think the sub-lingual application is what makes the absorbtion better.

I didn't even think about looking at Trader Joe's! Thanks for the info. I've got some that I picked up at CVS, but they seem to take awhile to dissolve, and they taste of tums and foil with a plastic-ey finish.

i use the trader joes. i had a deficiency that even weekly injections wasn't fixing, but once i started taking the trader schmoes sub dinguals i was fine. no more b-12 deficiencies.

I found sublingual B-12 at Vitamin World. They are mildly cherry flavored and small. No metallic or Tums taste at all. I was told I needed 500mcg daily, or 1000 every other day. I found the 500mcg in 100 tab bottles for $7.44, so I bought 2 bottles. That's enough for the the next 6 months.
