KP????
Hey Judy,
I'm not Kevin, but at 6 weeks out I hit a plateau that lasted a full six weeks. I honestly thought I was the only person this surgery wasn't going to work for. Finally on the seventh week I lost a couple of pounds. After that the weight started coming off again. It is natrual to hit the plateaus. Please try not to let them discourage you. Do you keep a food journal? I find they really help me. I still keep mine. I go to fitday.com it's free and helps me to keep track of everything I consume. All the calories, fats carbs, protein, etc. Do you have a nutritionist? If so call her/him and tell her/him whats going on with you. They can give you tips on what you should be doing. Are you getting in enough calories, proteins and fats? Yes we do need some fats. Are you getting the right kind of carbs~the good ones that come from fruit veggies and nuts as opposed to chips and other junk foods? Remember this to shall pass. hang in there: )
God bless you,
Annette
hi annette...thats how i am feeling right now...is this wls working for me???
yes i am writing everything down on a board in the kitchen so i can keep track of what i eat and drink. i can't have fruits yet...only sf applesauce, and no nuts yet either. i am finally getting in all my proteins and water now so maybe this fat will finally start to leave me again.
yes i have a nut and will see her again on the 27th. guess i will call her tomorrow and see what she says.
thanks so much for your help.

Now KP just told you the same thing I told you last Saturday about losing too fast and what it does to your skin. Your body has to just catch up - you will start losing again. Try not to worry, I know it can be discouraging. I think we've all gone through the stalls - I know I did. Pretty soon you'll be so happy, bouncing again cuz those pounds are just falling off. Like KP said - inches. Make sure you take them if you have not. Because I remember that if I did not see it on the scale, it showed on the measuring tape.
Take care,
Carey
hi carey...i am just having a bad day again is all...people keep asking me how much weight i have lost and i tell them nothing more yet...then they start in with maybe you shouldn't have had that surgery....i tell them yes i should have had this surgery or i would die in a few years....i have measured me and i am not seeing anything different...my clothes are looser some what but not alot.
i will hang in there...i promise!!!
hugs judy
Hi Judy,
I'm in the same boat as you........Remember I'm one week ahead of you @ MMPC, Dr. Kemmeter did my surgery. I keep bouncing up or down a pound......I have lost since my very first weigh in last April about 42 pounds, 22 of it since my surgerey on the 13th of October.
I have had a hard time getting my protein and fluids in. Last week I went back for a Endoscopy & I had a stricture, which they did a dilataton for.......I'm feeling so much better but still struggling at times.....I too have pretty stuck to the diet plan......
I return to MMPC on Tuesday so maybe they will give me some good hints to get it moving again......
