*Ok, HERE'S MINE:
1. Christmas in a tropical place, or here in wintery Michigan?
** and what tropical place would you like to be in???**
I'd love to be in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, or the South Pacific for Christmas just once.
2. Favorite Christmas Song that you always listen to around the holidays?
Aspenglow by John Denver has alway**** me in the heart.
3. Do you make your presents or buy them? (nothing wrong with either...) just wondered if you make stuff, what do you make?
When I was morbidly obese, I use to make a humongous pan of home made Baklava, and Chocolate Fudge with pecans, and divvy them out into candy boxes complete with labels and stickers, and give them out as presents in stead of buying gifts. I ended up spending about 100.00 on the entire lot, which took care of about 25 people and left plenty for me.
4. How many people in your world will be with you on Christmas morning to open presents? And where will you be this year???
My Mom, and my Sister. Everyone else is out West. Probably in Kalamazoo, MI this year.
5. Your favorite Christmas Memory. The one that sticks out forever.
The year I was dating a guy down in Lexington, KY, and he came over the night before and we stayed up all night Christmas Eve, talking and laughing and at dawn, we exchanged gifts. I got a 1 carat Marquise Diamond Engagement ring. He got a very nice watch. That spring we set the date. We never did marry. I have not fell in love with anyone else since. So this is the one that sticks.
1. Christmas in a tropical place, or here in wintery Michigan?
** and what tropical place would you like to be in???**
tropical place for sure - I HATE cold and snow (and today ICE). Where doesn't matter, just very warm and with a beach front room.
2. Favorite Christmas Song that you always listen to around the holidays?
Mary Did You Know is my favorite - but we listen to the 24 hr. Christmas music station starting right after Thanksgiving. So we love them all.
3. Do you make your presents or buy them? (nothing wrong with either...) just wondered if you make stuff, what do you make?
This year - all will be bought. I've made stuff before though. I sew and do crafts and I usually make my own Xmas cards too.
4. How many people in your world will be with you on Christmas morning to open presents? And where will you be this year???
Christmas morning we'll have nine people at our house. My, hubbie, six kinds and one son-in-law to be.
5. Your favorite Christmas Memory. The one that sticks out forever.
HAS to be the year my husband got this dumb idea on what to by the kids. I thought it was sooooo stupid and they kids were going to hate it. It turned out to be the VERY best gift they ever had and we still talk about it to this very day!!!! (what'd they get you think??? ROPE, yup just plain rope the tied EVERYTHING up. It was so fun to watch them with it. they tied up each other, daddy [not mommy] their toys, the furniture, if you could get a rope around it they tied it yup.)
1. A tropical place for me would be the camen islands or aurba.
2, Oh holy night by John Berry
3. I do a little of both, one year I did a cross stich for my mom which took me about six months to finish. We also draw names for the holidays because my family is to big to buy for everyone.
4. I have a large family and we have a total of 18 people who will be opening presents we actually are having christmas on new years weekend
5. I went to barbados for the christmas holiday with my Boyfriend and we spent our time on a boat which was a nice christmas present away from MI
1. Christmas in a tropical place, or here in wintery Michigan?
** and what tropical place would you like to be in???**
I hate the ice and snow Michigan brings but I would not celebrate Christmas anywhere else. All of my family live here. I do like a white Christmas though....it is just the other days, I wish the snow would melt.
2. Favorite Christmas Song that you always listen to around the holidays?
I always listen to Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas album. It was one of the first eight-tracks I received as a kid. Of course, I have it in CD form now lol.
3. Do you make your presents or buy them? (nothing wrong with either...) just wondered if you make stuff, what do you make?
I buy.
4. How many people in your world will be with you on Christmas morning to open presents? And where will you be this year???
In my home there will four of us. We do brunch every year at my grandmas. Then off to the in-laws. I do work 3-11 that day also.
5. Your favorite Christmas Memory. The one that sticks out forever.
This is not my favorite but the most memorable. I was about 13 years old and I wanted a stereo. I would just go and stare at it when we were at the store. My mom knew how much I wanted it.
We did the christmas deal...grams for brunch and back home to open gifts. There was no stereo. I was so sad. Well my uncle comes over with this big box wrapped up. Oh was I elated. I dug right in...opened that big box and inside was an old record player with a footprint on it. Oh man did I cry, like hyperventalate crying. Even my mom was like what the hell is that.
The phone rings and my uncle wants to know if I like my gift......haha. He brought me my stereo over right after that.
1. Christmas in Hawaii, that wold be great.
2. My favorit Christmas CD is Narada which is assorted artist.
3. I buy my presents but the presentation is spetacular. I make beautiful bows and also do giftbaskets for fun.
4. Six (6), my 2 girls, one granddaughter and a son-in-law, my husband of course.
5. My favorite Christmas is when my I volunteered in 2002 to help in a mission to help others in need, now we volunteer the weekend before Christmas.

4. How many people in your world will be with you on Christmas morning to open presents? And where will you be this year???
No opening presents but we will be in Vegas and then on a plane home later that day so lots of people will be around us.
5. Your favorite Christmas Memory. The one that sticks out forever.
The year I got my first bike. It was a blue & silver Huffy.

I have a mixed CD with Billie Holiday, Urtha Kitt, Aretha Franklin that is just awesome!

5. Your favorite Christmas Memory. The one that sticks out forever.
My most recent favorite is watching my son at 2 open his gifts and then help everyone else. He dove through the paper and danced around and was so joyous and free it was contageous. We put on music and danced around and sang and acted silly. It was pretty cool

1. Christmas in a tropical place, or here in wintery Michigan?
** and what tropical place would you like to be in???**
Any day but Christmas, I would love to be in a warm, tropical setting, overlooking the ocean. I like the snow for about a week....at Christmas. After that, I wi**** gone.
2. Favorite Christmas Song that you always listen to around the holidays?
Trans-siberian Orchestra...I love all their Christmas stuff. My favorite individual songs are O Holy Night, Do They Know It's Christmas and The Drummer Boy duet with David Bowie and Bing Crosby.
3. Do you make your presents or buy them? (nothing wrong with either...) just wondered if you make stuff, what do you make?
I mostly buy them. I used to pick one person in my family each year and make them a quilt, but I haven't done that in a while. For all of my husbands employees (11), I bake cookies....give them an assortment each Christmas.
4. How many people in your world will be with you on Christmas morning to open presents? And where will you be this year???
On Christmas eve, me,my husband, my 2 sisters and husbands and my brother and his wife and nieces and nephews will be together to open gifts. Then Christmas morning we'll open gifts with my husband's family. Then back to my family in the evening. Can't wait!
5. Your favorite Christmas Memory. The one that sticks out forever.
Well, it's not my favorite memory, but it sticks out. It was the first Christmas after my dad died. My whole entire family (2 sisters, 2 brother-in-laws, brother, his fiance, my 2 nieces, 2 nephews, my husband and myself) spent the night with my mom. It was great to wake up and all be together. But the fact that it was the first Christmas without my dad, well...that part sucked. Every Christmas is hard without dad.
1. I would love to be someplace warm, but I love being in my own house on Christmas morning with all of us in our jammies and slippers. It just wouldn't be the same in a hotel. Maybe New Year's on the beach.
2. I love all of them, but the old motown stuff, like Darlene Love, etc. is what I listen to the most.
3. I always make a gift basket for the bf's aunts. This year it's candles in vintage tea cups and home made gel air freshener thingies. Other than that, I'm a shopaholic, so I buy for everyone else.
4. There will be 4 of us...the bf, and two boys on Christmas morning. Christmas Eve is the traditional Russian Orthodox dinner with the bf's parents. (It's not a fun time for me!)
5. My most favorite memory is of the late mornings when I was a "tween" and early teenager. We didn't have a lot of money, but my mom always bought us nice powders, lotions, and new nail polish. I couldn't wait to shower and put on my new perfume (usually Love's Baby Soft) and make myself up before dinner. I felt so grown up!
