Look who's 3 years out!
Yep, that's me! I can't believe this much time has gone by! I still feel so new at this, but yet so old. Here's what I've learned:
1. Bariatric surgery is a lifesaver, a dream fullfiller, an amazing ride.
2. Bariatric surgery is not a piece of cake (no pun intended!) If you think it's "magic", you are wrong. It is a tool that works without hardly any help at all the first year, then needs you to be on top of it from that point on. Know this, and you will be successful. Let the "old mindset" creep in, you will gain.
3. Bariatric surgery brought me to my very best friends in the world. Nancy Bennett(surgery sister!
), Tami (what would I do without you
), KP (my conscience!...in a good way!
), Jennifer, Annette, Toni, Jan, and many more, all there for me and then some! I can't imagine my life without all of you now. Thanks for all of your support through my goods times and my whiny times!
I could go on, but you all know me well and know how I feel. I love you all! Keep me in your prayers if you would. I still struggle daily, but hey, I'm still 100 lbs lighter than I was three years ago!!!!
And a little tidbit of info on me.....I have an appt. for a possible sclerotherapy procedure on Jan 5th to narrow my stoma, so wish me luck! I hope this solves some of my problems!! The rest is up to ME! I'll be calling on you for support!
Big hugs to all!
Theresa

Congratulations Theresa,
I had my 3 yr ann. in October. I wish I could claim my problem on a stretched stom but mine was exactly the same size as when I had surgery. It was checked in August. I guess I need to get myself back to basics. I am maintaining, but would still like to lose 20-25 pounds. I watch your stuggles and successes and am here cheering for you even if I don't say it enough.
