Vernoica, That is up to your doctors post op diet. I did not eat salad for 6 months after my surgery mostly because I was very cautious with everything I retried after surgery. I treated my new pouch as if it were a baby,s stomach. http://images.obesityhelp.com/mbgraphics/emoticons/tongue.gif take care, Janice

I ate salad as soon as I was given the OK to start a regular diet. At first I did just a few lettuce leaves with some deli meat and cheese (aiming for high protien) and a bit of Ranch dressing and it went well! You will find everything with your new pouch is kind of trial and error.....what works today will not necessarily work tomorrow and vice versa. If you are in doubt, call and talk to Darci about when you should try out certain "new" foods. Hope that helps some! Jennifer 355/226/150

We have the same surgery. Look through the binder they gave you. It will list when to start different foods. I was like Jan and waited 6 months and I only took two small bites. I waited three days to see how my system would react.
