Westside losers meeting/namechange

Hey Everyone, We have decided to change the name of our group to Westside Winners because we are winners. Our next Meeting will be (in one week) on Friday December 8th, 2006 at Denny's restaurant on Wayne Rd. Westland at 7:00 pm. I would like to see everyone there ~don't wory no more "homework" LOL. We have decided begining on Saturday January 6th, 2007 we will start meeting at the westland mall for walking. We will meet every Saturday at the playscape outside of J.C.Penny at 10:00am. Our January meeting will be on Friday January 5th, 2007 At Denny's Restaurant at 7:00pm. Please mark your calendars and let Yvonne or myself know if you are planing on being there. Thank you. It was great to meet you guys tonight! I wish I could be at the next get together, but as I said before we have an important fundraiser that night. Thanks for being such an accepting group....it was fun! Brenda

Hi Brenda, It was nice to meet you last night. We generally meet once a month, but this month it's a little different to give everyone a chance to make at least one meeting. December can be a hard time of the year for sticking with the program. Remember to mark your calendar for our January 5th. meeting and the 6th for our first mall walk of the year. See you then. ha! i applaud your change. we who have lost are winners all the way! it's like less is more, we lose to gain! i hate that "loser" title as all my life my weight was associated with being a loser, i am glad to shed that connotation and am thrilled that your group has stood up to do the same. you ARE a winner, Annette. all of us are. now where's my snow?!

Hey Jay, Thank you. We didn't like the loser thing either. I've been called a loser all of my life and like you (and most of the rest of us) it had nothing to do with losing weight ~yet it had everything to do with weight.
