Anyone have Blue/Cross blue Sheild of Michigan ? Does it pay for plastics?

Mine paid for "reconstructive abdominoplasty" due to my osteoporosis. I have it in three lumbar. I had documentation for all my medical issues that the hanging skin from weight loss had caused. They only paid for the abdominoplasty, won't cover a lift unless the breast weighs over 5 grams, won't do my legs unless it's medically necessary, and it won't pay for my bat wings to be removed from my under arms (how attractive that is) ...............however, I do have a flat tummy and healing nicely. I'd have documentation and medical proof that it's a medical necessity before I hit BCBS of MI for a cent. best of luck Stacey W 310/147

Your lucky If BCBS paid for your plastics. I have BCBS Federal PPO and I had to fight tooth and nail for them to pay for a scar revision cause my former insurance paid to have my arms done and I developed keiloids. One was growing and BCBS said it was cosmetic. They had to code it possible cancer growth to get it covered. Of course it wasnt. I want my thighs done so we are in the process of documentation of infections knee pain and such to see if they will cover that. They are hanging so bad like charpai dogs skin.
