Finally!!! My day is tomarrow at noon!!!
I am so excited, I will be leaving the house at 9 in the morning and my surgery is scheduled for noon.. My husband was going to stay but, the nurses said I will be in surgery for 2 hours and recovery for 2-3 hours and that puts me at 5pm. Then they said I won't be up to visitors, so we decided it is best he comes home to be with our 3 kids. Some of me wants he there, but I also want him with the kids. I am sure they will call him with updates, right? Well I know I will be okay and will see him in the morning the day after.
Please if anyone can tell me that this is a good choice and that after surgery it is best to rest and be alone. thanks.
Also, I think I will get my profile going when I get home, it will give me something to do.
Hi Selena,
I know how you feel I had my surgery 2 weeks ago today and the day of surgery--I sent my husband home also I don't have little kids but my adult son and husband just can't take hospitals---(due to son was in auto accident and lost his brother and was on hospital for 6wks so he is scared) anyway my husband went home and came back in the evening for 1/2 hr, buy the time you come from recovery and they get you settle in and then up and walking the last thing you want is company---make sure you have a phone and talk to them when you feel up to it!!!! The first night was the hardest for me getting up and walking and trying to drink, the next morning was much better and you feel more like talking etc.
May God's Blessing be wth you and keep you well
marie see you
in a week of 2

Wishing you the best tomorrow!! (I'm tomorrow too, 8:30am) My mom is going to take our kids for the day. I'm preferring my husband to stay with me because we're a little bit far from the hospital (30 miles) so if God forbid, something should happen, he's there to make whatever decision necessary. We've also decided that once I'm out of recovery and he's seen me, then he'd go home. I too, would rather not have many visitors, just like to know someone was there for a minute or two. I hope you have an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery!!
God Bless!!
Hi Selena
This is really cool, you and shawn are both at harper the same time. Hook up with her, you guys have a lot to share in your new lives. Make sure you look for her and walk the halls with her.
As for the husband, you really need him there. You don't know what is going to happen and will need him at least until you wake up. To be honest, i don't remember my husband being there (due to complications i was really drugged) but he says he was and is glad he didn't go home like i told him to. It's your choice though. If there's anything i can help you with just let me know.
Hugs
Linda
