Help! What can I do to stop it? What's the use of getting skinny again if I'm bald? When your beautician recommends generic rogaine, it's time to panic. Any advice? I'm almost 3 months along since my RNY lap and down 50 pounds altogether. I've been cramming protein---that's all I eat! I take my pre-natal vit. What else should I be doing? What has worked for you guys? gloria

i don't have a problem losing hair. i have a problem finding it. i keep finding it on the bathroom floor, in the shower drain, in my hair brush, on my butt, in my ears, in my nose etc. the only place it doesn't seem to be found is under my yarmulke.

Hi Gloria, You should talk to either your surgeon or your PCP about this. I have lost almost all of my hair in my bangs area and after talking with the docs (not to mention taking a lot of hair vitamins including biotin and making sure to get all of my protein) they finally agreed that I have just hereditary baldness and the surgery kick-stared the hair loss. I don't have any deficiencies, and they could tell by the pattern of my hair loss that this is what it is. I'm just going bald and no amount of protein or biotin is going to change it. I know how you feel....I've waited so many years to try to look good again, and now I look so weird with no hair. But what am I going to do? Try your docs and see what they think. Have them test you for any vitamin or mineral deficiencies to see if that's it. Brenda

Partial hijack. Brenda, I couldn't see any hair loss when I met you. Either it was an excellent wig or you are great at disguise. Re loss in general, I'm taking biotin, I don't know that it helped my hair loss but my fingernails are much stronger so that counts. My loss started at four months and seems to be slowing considerably at six and a half. I can't see new growth yet but I have an eye exam in a couple weeks and maybe glasses will help.

Thanks Brenda. I will definitely talk to my Dr. I'm due for tests anyway. Some of the choices we have to make don't seem fair, do they? Gloria

Be patient....It will grow back. Just needs time. I had major hair loss issues when I had my surgeries....and although my hair isnt as thick as it used to be...I have had a great majority of it come back and cant even see the balding spots any more. Yes I take Biotin too.

I will get some Biotin! What is that and do I get it at GNC? Thanks for responding. Gloria

I get it at either Walgreens or Meijers...whoever has the BO/GO sale when I need it.

Hair skin and nails formula from G.N.C. has worked wonders for me. I used to have long thick dark hair. People often tell me they love my hair cut ~I didn't get my hair cut, so that should tell you something. I f I stop taking the H.S.N. formula my hair starts to fall out all over again. I suggest you try different things until you find what works best for you. Best wishes. God bless you, Annette

Thanks for the tip. I will check it out at GNC. Do you think the Hair, Skin & Nails is the same as or has some Biotin in it? I will ask. Happy holidays Annette. Gloria
