Hair Loss---HELP!

Gloria: The hair loss comes at about the 3 month timeframe and then slows around 6 months out. Not much seemed to help me with it. I believe, as others have said, that it is the surgery and anesthetics. The reason I believe this is that my mom had knee surgery last year (actually two of them) and lost almost all her hair. The hair has now come back and it is thick and curly. Same with my hair loss since surgery in April 2005, it came back in thick and curly. I have been seeing some loss again, but I believe we all go through a "shedding period" that everyone experiences. Just be sure to clean out the drain before your hubby or someone else goes in to take a shower! Take care and just relax, you'll be fine! Pam (P.S. I lost a lot more hair when I went through chemo back in the early eighties, this is nothing compared to that!)
