Thanks Sydney! I do have other children, 4 to be exact. But to put it in perspective, my oldest is 22 and my 20 year old is expecting his first child (and my first grandchild) this upcoming January. We are truly thrilled and have tried for 11 years (including fertility shots). It's taken a while to sink in and I'm still in awe. If you go to the forums there's a post-op pg board. Most doctors want to you wait until your 18 -24 months out. Many get pg sooner and at least by my being 12 months out, I've lost the largest amt already so that won't be an issue. I'll just be watched closely because we now malabsorb nutrients. That, my age (42) and the fact that I have a history of large babies puts me at what they term high risk.
